Farewells III: Goodbye, Bath!

[This is so super late and I am totally behind on the blogging. Sorry.]

We have moved! We packed up all our things...

Packing... or unpacking?

...Defrosted and swept and mopped, and gave away and threw away and sold things, and cleaned and painted...

The first picture of a thing is always the best one. Why is this?

...We did lots of enjoying of our last time living in this particular place, for this particular time...

We will again someday have such a view.

...We set free our stick insects (ssh...) into a local ivy patch, where they will maybe be happy until winter or die of old age. We set free our fish in the river (some of them were originally from the river)...

When these are an invasive species, remember: it wasn't us. Probably.

...And we moved away from living in the Microsoft Windows Desktop background photo...

...to a really quite nice bit of London known as Kew. (Moving was— sigh— a bit horrible in all the ways moving is always horrible, but we did it and it was fine, really. We gave a tiny violin to a shockingly-poorly-paid maybe-here-illegally hard-working and very nice moving guy whose son will hopefully be the Kurdish concert violinist you hear about in 15 more years.)

We're still moving and squishing and fitting our lives into this place and its specifics

But it is good and exciting and new, and we are happy to be doing this adventure together.
